Cardinal Sponsors 20 Angels This Season via the Salvation Army

Do you believe every child deserves a Merry Christmas? At Cardinal, we certainly do!

This holiday season we will be sponsoring 20 Angels from the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program. What is Angel Tree you may be wondering? It's a holiday assistance program where an individual or group sponsors a child in need. The sponsor buys new toys, gift cards, and clothing for their "adopted Angels." For many kids, the gifts they receive through the Angel Tree Program will be the only ones they open on Christmas morning Through the Angel Tree program, The Salvation Army seeks to provide Christmas gifts for families who won’t be able to provide gifts for their children.

Cardinal is participating but we encourage any and everyone to join in and participate as well. The number of gifts your purchase is up to you (the more the better), however, most people spend around $50-$70 per Angel. Not a shopper, you can make a donation and, someone will do the shopping for you. Angels are not duplicated, so once a child is selected you’re their sponsor.

Below are some important steps you need to know before participating:

  • Use the gift information (wish, need, sizes, etc.) as a guide to purchase gifts for your Angel. The number of gifts you buy is up to you as the donor. The more the better!!! Most people spend around $50-$70 per Angel
  • PLEASE DO NOT WRAP THE GIFTS. We want to give the parent(s) or guardian(s) the opportunity to participate in the process by wrapping the gifts.
  • You must have your Angel's name (if provided) and Angel Code number with you when you return your gifts to the Corp office. We suggest placing all your gifts in a bag/box with the child’s name and/or Angel Code/Tag.

Gifts are due by Monday, December 5th by 10 a.m. at our corporate headquarters – 4330 Prince William Parkway, Woodbridge, VA 22192. All 20 sponsored angels’ gifts will be delivered to the Prince William County Location the same day. For more information about the program visit the Salvation Army's website.

We are delighted to participate in this year's Angel Tree program and doing just a small part to ensure each child has a Merry Christmas. We hope you can participate with us!

Merry Christmas from your friends at Cardinal!
